I was born and raised in the Detroit area. For most of my younger years Canton, Michigan was where I was raised. I graduated high school in 1990 from Fairlane Christian School in Dearborn Heights. Shortly after graduating I went to work for a conveyor company in Detroit as a CAD Operator and quickly moved up through Engineering into Estimating and Project Management.
Working in the conveyor industry allowed me the opportunity and funding to follow my passion to begin purchasing equipment to support my hobby of videography and film production.
Around 2001 I started my own company, Chosen Productions where I took on many types of projects from weddings to corporate and promotional videos which led to a job at Life Inside Out television producing show graphics and marketing segments as well as filming interviews with Christian authors and editing shows. Life Inside Out was produced out of Windsor Christian Fellowship in Windsor, Ontario, where I had been attending since 1992.

In 2005 I married and moved from Dearborn, Michigan to Windsor, Ontario as that is where my wife was from. From then through 2008 I continued working with Life Inside Out, Windsor Christian Fellowship and freelance projects with companies such as Automatic Data Processing as well as dipping in and out of the conveyor industry when video production projects were scarce.
In 2009 I was hired by St. Clair College to teach Convergence Technology, a class which consisted of recording and editing video and audio for news using broadcast cameras, recorders and miscellaneous software. This led to teaching podcasting classes and a contract for technical support for all the broadcast studio equipment, software and newsroom management when we moved our Journalism program into our new facility, the MediaPlex.
By 2013 we added two new programs at the St. Clair College MediaPlex, Media Convergence and Public Relations. This is when I became full-time support staff with a title of Technologist B. In this role I support both the radio and TV studio equipment, classes and software.
Since 2020 I have been involved with other college productions as well, including convocations, Alumni of Distinction gala IMAG, Fashion shows for the Fashion Design program and Face to Face, a TV program hosted by John Fairley, VP of Community Relations and College Communications at St. Clair College.
In 2022 I was awarded Support Staff of the Year at our Employee Excellence Awards luncheon.
